HPSC Food Safety Officer Recruitment 2026 Overview

The Haryana Public Service Commission has invited online applications from eligible candidates for 45 posts of Food Safety Officer (Group-B) in the Food & Drugs Administration Department, Haryana. Candidates who meet the required educational qualifications and age limits can submit their applications online through the official HPSC website.

Vacancy Details and Categories

Out of the 45 posts available, the bifurcation is as follows: Un-reserved 22, DSC 05, OSC 05, BC-A 05, BC-B 03, EWS 05, and ESM (General) 02. Additionally, 02 posts are reserved for PwD candidates (01 for a-Low Vision and 01 for b-Deaf, Hard of Hearing).

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree or Doctorate degree from a recognized university or institution in specified disciplines like Food Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Sciences, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Medicine, or a Bachelor of Medicines and Bachelor of Surgery, Dental Surgery, Ayurvedic/Homeopathic/Unani/Siddha medicine, or equivalent recognized qualifications approved by the Food Authority. Candidates must also have Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric or Higher Education. Age limits range between 18 and 42 years as on the closing date, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee payable through online mode (Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card) is NIL for PwD candidates of Haryana with at least 40% disability. It is Rs. 250/- for OSC, DSC, BC-A, BC-B, ESM, EWS, and women candidates of Haryana, as well as DESM candidates belonging to their vertical category. The fee is Rs. 1000/- for DESM candidates belonging to the UR category and all remaining candidates.

How to Apply

Candidates must register online on the HPSC website using their Mobile Number and Aadhar Number/Virtual ID. After registration, fill up the application form, pay the requisite fee, take a printout of the signed application form, check for errors, sign it, and upload the scanned copy. No changes are allowed after final submission.
