Indian Coast Guard Region West Recruitment 2026

Headquarters, Coast Guard Region (West) has released an official recruitment notification for filling up 06 vacancies in various Group 'C' civilian posts on a direct recruitment basis. Eligible and interested candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format along with required enclosures.

Vacancies and Eligibility

The recruitment drive includes multiple posts with distinct educational and experience requirements:

• Store Keeper Grade II: 01 vacancy (EWS). Requires 12th pass and one year of experience in handling stores.
• Engine Driver: 01 vacancy (SC). Requires Matriculation, a Certificate of competency as Engine Driver, and two years desirable service as Sarang.
• Lascar: 01 vacancy (EWS). Requires Matriculation pass and three years of experience in service on a boat.
• Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade): 01 vacancy (OBC). Requires 10th standard pass, valid heavy and light motor vehicle driving license, knowledge of motor mechanism, and two years driving experience.
• MTS (Peon): 01 vacancy (OBC). Requires Matriculation or equivalent pass with two years of experience as an office attendant.
• MTS (Chowkidar): 01 vacancy (OBC). Requires Matriculation or equivalent pass with two years of experience as Chowkidar.

How to Apply

Candidates need to fill out the application form in English or Hindi as per the format given in Annexure-I. Affix a recent passport size self-attested colour photograph and attach self-attested photocopies of valid photo ID, educational certificates, category certificate, experience certificate, NOC if applicable, and two latest passport size photographs. A separate blank envelope with a Rs. 50/- postal stamp addressed to themselves must also be enclosed. The complete application must reach the Headquarters, Coast Guard Region (West), Alexander Graham Bell Road, PO Malabar Hill, Mumbai 400006 by ordinary post within 45 days of publication in Employment News.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of scrutiny of applications, document verification, biometric verification, and a written examination. The written examination will be pen-paper based, lasting for one hour, and consisting of 80 objective type questions covering General Knowledge, Mathematics, General English, and questions on the relevant trade.

Eligibility

• 10th standard pass / Matriculation pass or equivalent
• 12th pass from recognized Board or University
• Valid driving license for heavy and light motor vehicles
• Certificate of competency as Engine Driver
• Relevant experience in the respective trade

Age Limit

18 to 25/30 years depending on the post with relaxations as per Government rules.

Pay Level 1 to Pay Level 4 (Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 81,100)
