ITBP Constable GD Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 Overview

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) has invited online applications from eligible male and female Indian citizens, including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan, for filling up vacancies for the post of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota in Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial). The positions are temporary but likely to become permanent. Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad.

Eligibility and Sports Qualifications

Candidates must have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board. Applicants must be between 18 to 23 years of age, with relaxations applicable as per rules for reserved categories. Sportspersons must have participated or won medals in international competitions, national championships, inter-university competitions, or Khelo India games held between 01/01/2024 and 01/11/2026. Only certificates from authorized sports federations and bodies will be verified and accepted during recruitment.

A total of 126 vacancies are available across various sports disciplines such as Athletics, Aquatic, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Equestrian, Football, Gymnastic, Handball, Ice Hockey, Hockey, Judo, Kho-Kho, Pencak Silat, Powerlifting, Central SKI, Sports Shooting, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rowing, MTB Cycling, and Karate. Male candidates must meet the standard height of 170 cms and chest measurement of 80 cms with a 5 cms minimum expansion, while female candidates need a height of 157 cms. Relaxations are provided for specific categories and regions.
