SVNIT Surat Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2026

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat has invited applications for the engagement of Assistant Engineer positions on a purely contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months. The tenure may be renewed further depending on institute requirements and candidate performance.

Vacancy and Remuneration Details

There are a total of 5 vacancies available under this notification. This includes 2 positions for Assistant Engineer (Civil) and 3 positions for Assistant Engineer (Electrical). The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 40,000.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

For Assistant Engineer (Civil), candidates must possess a First Class B.E. or B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute, or a First Class Diploma in Civil Engineering with an excellent academic record. Desirable experience includes monitoring or supervising civil works, preparation of estimates, bills, measurement books, tendering processes, and working knowledge of CAD and other civil engineering software.

For Assistant Engineer (Electrical), candidates require a First Class B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute, or a First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an excellent academic record. Desirable experience includes monitoring electrical works, preparation of estimates, bills, day-to-day electrical maintenance, and working knowledge of CAD and electrical engineering software.

The preferred age limit for both posts is below 35 years.

Selection Process and Important Instructions

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at SVNIT Surat, and final selection will be based on performance during the personal interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test or interview. Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions, as incomplete applications or those received after the closing date will be summarily rejected.
